Expressions en anglès relacionades amb la convivència, tasques domèstiques o accions automàtiques que realitzem diàriament dins de casa ens serveixen especialment per a comprendre tots els aspectes de l’idioma. A més, podràs utilitzar-les quan estiguis fora de casa i hagis de conviure amb persones que no parlin el teu idioma. T’estalviaràs diversos mals de cap!

Housework
- Meaning: tasques domèstiques
- Example: I’m staying at home to do the housework. The bathroom and kitchen need cleaning.
Lay/Set the table
- Meaning: Parar la taula
- Example: Can you lay/set the table for me, please? The guests are about to arrive.
Wash the dishes
- Meaning: Rentar els plats
- Example: I’m going to wash the dishes. Can you dry them and put them away, please?
Dishwasher
- Meaning: Rentaplats
- Example: Could you guys please load the dishwasher? It’s your turn.
Hang up the washing
- Meaning: Estendre la roba
- Example: I’m going to hang up the washing to dry. It’s a sunny day.
Clothespins / Clothes pegs
- Meaning: Pinces d’estendre
- Example: Where are the clothespins / clothes pegs? I need to hang up this washing.
Do the ironing
- Meaning: Planxar

Tidy up a room

- Meaning: Rentar-te les dents

- Meaning: Treure la pols

To do the vacuuming
- Meaning: Passar l’aspiradora
- Example: There was dirt on the floor, so I vacuumed it up.
To sweep
- Meaning: Escombrar
- Example: Give me a broom, I need to sweep the floor clean.
To look after the children
- Meaning: Tenir cura dels nens
