A qualsevol país al que anem i que no es parli català o castellà, l’idioma que farem servir segur per comunicar-nos serà l’anglès. Per això mateix és molt important tenir un anglès bàsic per viatjar que ens permeti moure’ns pel país i, en definitiva, sobreviure.

Quan parlem d'”anglès bàsic per viatjar”, ens referim a un anglès que et permeti comunicar-te amb la gent per coses tan bàsiques com demanar que t’indiquin un carrer, que et diguin on són els lavabos o comprar un bitllet d’autobús. A més de les frases que us deixarem a continuació, a Merit us oferim un curs d’anglès per a viatjar, especialment per a tots els viatgers i viatgeres que llegiu això. Com el seu nom indica, és un curs pensat per a aprender un “anglès de viatge”, amb el qual poder anar a qualsevol lloc i poder comunicar-se en situacions típiques d’un viatge.

Situacions generals

1. Do you speak Spanish/Catalan/English? – Parles espanyol/català/anglès?
2. Could you speak more slowly, please? – Pots parlar més a poc a poc, si us plau?
3. Sorry, I didn’t understand that. – Ho sento, no he entès això.
4. Could you say that again, please? – Podries repetir això, si us plau?
5. Can you translate this for me? – Em pots traduir això?
